About the player
Yorbe Vertessen made his name early, and a place in the Team of the Tournament at the 2018 UEFA European Under-17 Championship. He came through the youth ranks at PSV Eindhoven, stepping up from Jong PSV to the first team, where he stayed until 2024 and won the KNVB Cup as well as two Johan Cruijff Shields.
A loan spell at Royale Union Saint-Gilloise in the 2022–23 season, and he returned to PSV before a permanent move to 1. FC Union Berlin in February 2024. He before Red Bull Salzburg brought him in during February 2025.
At international level, Vertessen has represented Belgium at Under-19 and Under-21 level, though a senior cap has so far eluded him. Since arriving at Salzburg, the forward has contributing goals across all competitions as he.
