Aker Women

They won their first NM-Gull in 2019, beating Rælingen HK 44–29 at junior level, three years after Ullern IF and Njård IL folded their elite handball sections into one club to give women's handball in Oslo Vest a proper top-flight path. Six years and two lost finals later, against Tertnes in 2021 and Larvik in 2023, the junior side got back to the top of the podium in 2025, beating Fredrikstad HK 31–27.

The senior team's own climb ran on a different clock. Aker took over the league licences of both founding clubs, Njård's spot in the 1. divisjon and Ullern's in the 2. divisjon, and used the higher one as its base. A second-place finish in 1. divisjon after the 2018/2019 season sent them up, and they stepped into the REMA 1000-ligaen for the first time on 3 September 2019. Five seasons later they went the other way, finishing 14th in 2023/2024 and dropping back down.

Between those two ends of the table, the club reached a Norwegian Cup semi-final in 2021/2022, still its best senior result, and built a name for producing national team players such as Tuva Høve and Ane Høgseth. Goalkeeper Aud Ingrid Silseth arrived from Volda Håndball in 2025, adding experience to a squad still shaped around its junior pipeline.

Home games are shared between Bygdøhus Idrettshall and the smaller Ullern Flerbrukshall.
