Al-Qadisiyah

Al-Qadsiah go into this Saudi Pro League season measuring themselves against clubs they have not always shared a table with — Al-Ittihad, Al Shabab, Al-Ahli, Al-Ettifaq, Al-Nassr among them. The top-flight title has never gone to Al-Khobar; the closest the club came was third place, back in 1980–81, and each of its four league championships was won one tier down, most recently in 2023–24.

The club's own paperwork gives 1967, the year Al-Shoula and Al-Wahda merged into one side. Supporters point further back, to 1935, when Aramco's workforce in Al-Khobar first put together football teams of its own. In 2025 the club petitioned for that earlier date to be recognised as its true founding year; the request has not been settled.

The one heavy run of silverware fell across three seasons either side of 1992: the Crown Prince Cup in 1991–92, then the Federation Cup and the Asian Cup Winners' Cup together in 1993–94 — a continental medal the club has not repeated since.

Home is the Prince Saud bin Jalawi Stadium in Al-Khobar, its stands done out in the club's red and yellow, holding 20,100. When demand outgrows it, fixtures move up the coast to Dammam and the Prince Mohamed bin Fahd Stadium, with room for 26,000. Neither will be needed much longer: by 2026 Al-Qadsiah are due into their own Aramco Stadium, built for 47,000 in the same Eastern Province that gave the club its nickname.
