Al Suqoor open the 2025/26 season in the Saudi Pro League for the first time in their history, with Christophe Galtier appointed head coach in July 2025.

The run began in 2021/22, when the club, still known as Al Suqoor, won the Third Division final 2-1 against Al-Qous. In December 2023 the Saudi sovereign fund NEOM bought the club and renamed it Neom SC, swapping the old black and gold for white and blue. Under the new identity, the club took the Second Division title in 2023/24, then the First Division in 2024/25 under coach Péricles Chamusca, sealing the move to the top flight.

The rise up the pyramid came with recruitment to match: Alexandre Lacazette and Saïd Benrahma joined the squad, alongside Saudi internationals such as Salman Al-Faraj.

The club traces back to 1965, founded in Tabuk as Al Suqoor — the Falcons — and settled at the King Khalid Sports City Stadium, which holds 12,000.
