Artis Brno

When the businessman Igor Fait bought the club in 2025, he didn't keep the name it had carried since the fall of communism. SK Líšeň became SK Artis Brno, its youth academy merged with FC Svratka Brno, and the team moved into a rented ground it had never used before, the Městský fotbalový stadion Srbská, also known as ShipEx Arena.

The change was only the latest in a line stretching back a century. Founded in 1924 as SK Československý socialista Líšeň, the club took on a new name almost every time its ownership shifted: ZKL Líšeň after a 1948 merger with a bearing factory, then Spartak ZPS Líšeň, then Spartak Líšeň, then, from 1990, plain SK Líšeň.

Through all of it, supporters kept calling the team Marvani, a nickname handed down from a former owner and one of the few things that outlasted every rebrand.

None of those decades brought a Czech championship or a national cup. The honours sit at regional level: a regional league title in 1953 that carried the club up a division, a South Moravian regional league title in 2004/05 that did the same, and a regional cup won in 1965.

The ground at Srbská, now home to Artis Brno, holds 10,785.
