The stadium at Za Vodojemem has hosted footballers under half a dozen different names. The line runs back to SK Chrudim 1887, a sports society without a football section until 1925, when it absorbed a new club and took the field as NSK Chrudim. The communist years renamed it twice more, to DSO Jiskra Chrudim and then TJ Elite Chrudim, and the 1990s added Evona Chrudim before the SK Chrudim name returned. The present club, MFK Chrudim, dates only to 26 January 2011, when SK Chrudim merged with the separately run AFK Chrudim, founded in 1899.

Jaroslav Drobný came up through SK Chrudim's youth ranks before playing at Euro 2012, and Michal Špit, already a Czech champion with Sparta Prague, turned out for the club in 1999.

The ground itself holds 1,500.
