AZS Poznan Women

The team, nicknamed Akademiczki, has spent its recent seasons in the Liga Centralna Kobiet, the second tier of Polish women's handball below the Superliga. In 2022/2023 it finished second in I Liga Group A and then placed fourth in the promotion tournament, missing the step up; the following season it settled for fifth in the Liga Centralna.

Olessja Parandij, capped by Ukraine, has played for the club.

Home games are played at the gymnasium of Primary School No. 10, named after Arkady Fiedler, on ulica Bosa — a school hall rather than a purpose-built arena, in keeping with a club still shaped by its student and amateur origins.

Promotion back to the Superliga has eluded the club since that fourth-place finish in the promotion tournament, and neither the Polish championship nor the Polish Cup features among its honours.
