Lindloven

Lindlövens IF sit in HockeyEttan's West group, the third tier of Swedish hockey, where they have spent every season since 2005–06. Promotion playoffs in 2015–16, 2021–22 and 2023–24 all ended the same way, short of HockeyAllsvenskan.

The club exists because another one stopped: in 1976 it took over ice hockey from IFK Lindesberg, which had dropped the sport, and built its own identity in navy blue, orange and white from there. Between the 1970s and 1990s Lindlövens IF had several spells in the second tier before settling lower down the pyramid. The high point came in 2004–05, when the club won the qualification series for Division 1 and earned the promotion that has anchored it in HockeyEttan ever since.

Games are played at Lindehov, the municipal arena in Lindesberg that holds 1,836. Fixtures against Bofors IK, from neighbouring Karlskoga, carry more weight than the league table alone would suggest.

The club runs its own hockey gymnasium for J18 players, and it was that pipeline, along with a stint at Bofors IK, that carried Johan Larsson out of Lindesberg and eventually to the NHL with the Anaheim Ducks and Florida Panthers. But the name still spoken of first at Lindehov is Daniel Wallén, who holds the club's all-time records both for games played and for points scored.
