A penalty shoot-out settled the Nedbank Cup quarter-final.

That run fell in the 2025-26 season, the same campaign in which Milford finished third in the National First Division — known this season as the Motsepe Foundation Championship — and then won the promotion play-off, sending the club into the Premier Soccer League for the first time in its history.

The path there started lower down, in the SAFA Second Division's KwaZulu-Natal Stream.
