Minsk II

Aleksandr Davidovich took charge of the reserve side in Minsk with a squad that changes faster than most coaches would like. The 2025 goals were spread across eight names, none of them a settled starter — Aleksey Garnastay and Mikhail Bondarenko among them.

Before him the bench belonged to Viktor Sokol.

The team took its current name in 2007, when Smena was rebranded as Minsk-2. An earlier side had carried the same name as a farm club of Dinamo Minsk, and the two are easy to confuse.

Home matches are played at the FC Minsk artificial pitch complex on Pobediteley Avenue, a ground the senior club owns and the second team rents. It opened in 2006, holds 1500 and has an artificial surface — which, for a side playing through Belarusian March and November, matters more than the capacity does. There is no separate page for the team on the club website; it sits inside the parent club's structure, under Teams, as Minsk-2.

The colours are the white and red of the senior side.

Davidovich's brief now is the one it has always been: keep the youngest players in competitive football week to week and hand the first team something ready. The scoring returns from last season suggest he is spreading the load rather than leaning on one forward, and with no trophies to defend, the measure of the year is how many of those eight names appear in a senior squad next.
