Partizan go into the new Serbian Superliga season as champions, and defending that title now means something more specific than it used to: last season the black-and-whites took the league, the Serbian Cup, the Serbian Super Cup and the All-Serbian Cup in the same campaign. The league final itself would not settle quietly — the second leg against Vojvodina was abandoned after crowd trouble, and the title was decided by a replay played behind closed doors.
The section traces back to 1948, though it barely survived its first attempt, folding within a year before Partizan absorbed RK Dedinje's handball players in 1957 and started again from there. What followed took decades to turn into weight of silverware: eleven league titles and thirteen domestic cups, most of them won since the early 1990s. The run between 1993 and 1995, three championships in a row alongside European semi-finals, is still spoken of at the club as its golden era, and the years that followed it were leaner — a stretch after 2004 without a title before the league returns of 2011 and 2012 restored the habit of winning.
Europe has been less generous. Semi-finals of the EHF Cup Winners' Cup in 1999 and 2002, and of the Challenge Cup in 2011, are as close as Partizan have come to a continental final, and an invitation to the 2026–27 Champions League gives them another attempt at closing that gap.
None of it carries the weight of the fixture against Crvena Zvezda. The "Večiti derbi" between Belgrade's two clubs runs through the whole of Partizan's history, and it is this rivalry, more than any single trophy, that supporters measure a season by.
They play in front of 8,000 at the Aleksandar Nikolić Hall.
