The Veszprém Aréna holds just over 5,000 people, since the move there in July 2008. Before that, the team played across town at the 15th Street Hall.

The club grew out of the Veszprém County State Construction Company, which put its name behind a handball section in 1977 — the Építők nickname, Builders, still traces back to that trade. Sponsors have rewritten the club's name on the shirt many times since, from Bramac to Fotex to MKB to Telekom, and this year it plays as One Veszprém.

Domestically there is little left to prove: thirty Hungarian championships and thirty-two national cups, most recently both in 2026, make Veszprém the country's dominant handball side by a wide margin. The gap it has never closed is the EHF Champions League — four finals, in 2002, 2012, 2015 and 2024, and four defeats. That failure sits at the centre of how the club is discussed at home, a shadow over an otherwise unmatched record.

Gergő Iváncsik holds the club appearance record at left back, while József Éles remains its all-time leading scorer. The derby against MOL Pick Szeged, the Eternal Derby, carries a weight beyond the table.

None of it changes what the club still is at its foundation: a construction company's works team from 1977, now playing in a stadium the wall that raised it could never have imagined.
