On a May evening in Nyon in 2019, FC Porto's under-19 side went two goals down inside the first quarter-hour of the UEFA Youth League final and still walked off with the trophy.
The junior team traces its competitive life back to the 1952-53 season, not long after FC Porto itself had been revived in 1906 following its founding in 1893. Since then the Dragões' academy side has been crowned national junior champions 24 times, with the run extending into 2026 — a record built as much on decades of quiet consistency as on any single vintage.
Home games are played at the Estádio Luís Filipe Menezes, tucked inside the CTFD PortoGaia training complex in Vila Nova de Gaia.
The junior fixtures that matter most are against Benfica and Sporting CP.
