The pitch at Shkilnyi, in the village of Mykhailivka-Rubezhivka outside Kyiv, holds 300 people. It is the ground of a local side, Sokil, and Rebel used it because it did not own a stadium. Some amateur fixtures were played further west, at the Mykhailo Brukvenko Central Stadium in Makariv.

Rebel did not start from nothing. The under-19 side of the Kyiv sports school Nika had won the Kyiv Cup in 2023/24, beating Chaika of Vyshhorod 2:1 in the final. That squad became the club: in 2024 the junior team was reorganised as a professional entity under a new name, and the trophy in the cabinet was won before the name existed.

The Amateur Football Association admitted the club to national amateur competition in 2024, and Rebel spent 2024/25 in group 2 of the amateur championship. In the summer of 2025 the Professional Football League approved its entry to the Second League, and with professional status came a change of address.

What the club looks like on the pitch is harder to pin down. There is no nickname, and no colours have been recorded; the kit is supplied by Puma.

In its first professional season, 2025/26, Rebel finished fourth in group B.
