Romerike Ravens Women

Nobody in Lillestrøm calls this a derby town for handball, and the Ravens have never needed one. The cooperation runs the other way: Lillestrøm HK, Nit-Hak and Skedsmo HK feed players and support into the same project rather than compete against it.

That project only carries the Ravens name since 10 February 2021, when the women's elite side split off from what had been Rælingen Håndballklubb and re-formed as Romerike Topphåndballklubb. Everything before that date belongs to the old club: the climb into the top flight in 2015/16, a Norwegian Cup final in 2019, no title collected along the way despite the effort.

Under the new name the ceiling has been a sixth-place finish in the REMA 1000-ligaen, reached in 2022–23. Anniken Wollik played through that period as a European champion with the national team. Relegation to the 1. Division followed in 2025–26, dropping the team back out of the division it had only recently learned to compete in.

Home games are played in front of 1,600 at Skedsmohallen, black and white shirts on court. 1977, when a handball section in Rælingen started what would eventually, under a different name and a different structure, become Romerike Ravens.
