Stade Français Paris

Guazzini's stretch running the club, from 1992 to 2011, produced four championships and a commercial identity built around that colour and the nickname it earned, Les Soldats Roses .

The silverware from further back tells a different story. Between 1894 and 1925 the club took the Bouclier de Brennus repeatedly, and in the same span collected ten Coupe de France titles.

Julien Arias holds the club's appearance and try-scoring records; Diego Domínguez remains its leading scorer.

The fixture against Racing 92, the Derby parisien, carries weight beyond the table, and in 2017 that weight showed itself plainly: a proposed merger of the two clubs was put to Stade Français players and rejected in a strike. More recently the margins have been tighter still, the 2024–25 season ending with the club clear of relegation only narrowly.

It began in 1883 as something else altogether, a multi-sport association formed by students at the Lycée Saint-Louis, with no rugby section bearing the professional shape it has now until a 1995 merger with the Club Athlétique des Sports Généraux gave the modern side its start.
