Storhamar

The club took shape on 18 March 1957, and since the 1990s it has been the dominant force in Norwegian hockey, taking the national championship ten times. The first run of titles, in 1995, 1996 and 1997, established the club as the team to beat; the run resumed in 2018 and has barely paused since.

Erik Kristiansen spent twenty seasons in the yellow and blue and scored 509 goals. Pål Johnsen's 964 appearances stand as the other benchmark.

The club played as Storhamar Dragons from 1998 to 2015 before reverting to Storhamar Hockey. Matches against Vålerenga carry the weight of Norway's fiercest rivalry, while the games against Lillehammer, the other club on Mjøsa's shore, are fought as the Battle for Mjøsa.
