Universidad O finished with five shots on target against five for Salcedo, while the visitors held a slight edge in possession at 54 per cent. The hosts registered more attacks overall, 86 to 83, but the difference was marginal.
Salcedo remain unbeaten after seven matches, five wins and two draws, and now sit four points clear at the top. Universidad O have lost three of eight league games and will need to find consistency if they hope to close the gap. The hosts had kept clean sheets in two of their last five outings, but the defensive frailties showed again here.
