Vorskla Poltava's supporters voted Kyrylo Lavuta the club's best player of 2025 . He joined in July 2025 and went on to make 24 appearances in the 2025/2026 season. In those games he conceded 37 goals and kept seven clean sheets.
Lavuta's route to Poltava ran through the lower rungs. From 2022 to 2024 he was with the second team of Metalurh Zaporizhya. In August 2024 he moved to Hirnyk-Sport on a free transfer. A year later Vorskla signed him, again without a fee.
