About the player
Mykola Oharkov played three matches at the 2024 UEFA European Under-19 Championship and came home with a bronze medal. Oharkov joined the Shakhtar academy in 2018 through the "Let's Play!" project. He won the Ukrainian youth league in the under-14 category and later made 16 appearances for the club in the UEFA Youth League. His first came on 14 September 2022 against Celtic.
He is left-footed and mainly a left-back, though he can also play in the centre of defence. For Ukraine he has played at under-17, under-19, under-20 and under-21 level. His under-17 debut came in November 2021, and he has won eight caps at under-19 level, five at under-17 and three each at under-20 and under-21.
Oharkov signed with Shakhtar's senior squad in 2025 and made his first-team debut on 24 May 2025 against Rukh Vynnyky. He has yet to appear for the senior national team.
