About the player
Kudrivka won promotion to the Ukrainian Premier League in June 2025 by beating Vorskla Poltava in the play-offs, 2-1 on aggregate after extra time and penalties. Vorskla was Maksym Melnychuk's club from 2018 to 2023, and he had joined Kudrivka on a free transfer three months before the tie, in March.
Melnychuk is a Kyiv-born defender who came through the capital's youth system. He was at RVUFK Kyiv until 2014, then spent four years at Dynamo Kyiv. In 2014 and 2015 he won 13 caps for Ukraine at under-16 level.
He joined Vorskla in July 2018 on a free transfer. His time there included two loan spells. The first was at Chornomorets Odesa in the 2020-21 season, where he made 16 appearances and scored once. The second was at Inhulets Petrove in 2021-22, where he played four times.
In February 2023 he left Vorskla for good and moved permanently to Inhulets. He made 45 appearances there and scored once before leaving in 2025.
At Kudrivka he has made 22 appearances so far, and the club is one he arrived at only in the final months of its promotion push.
