Nono arrived in Poland having already collected honours in three different countries, and Korona Kielce made him captain within a season of signing him from UD Ibiza in December 2022.

He started out at Rayo Vallecano, working through the club's B side before a single senior appearance in the Segunda División in June 2010 was as far as that chance went. The breakthrough of sorts came at UCAM Murcia, whom he joined in July 2014: he helped the club up to the second division and scored his first professional goal in October 2016. Spells at AD Alcorcón and Extremadura UD followed, the latter ending in relegation, before a short stay at CD Tenerife preceded his move to Ibiza and then to Poland.

The honours list tells a different story to the club-by-club grind. With Spain's under-19s he won the European Championship in 2012, and his senior medal collection swelled considerably during a stint with Slovan Bratislava, where he took three Slovak Super Liga titles in a row and three Slovak Cups alongside them. A Segunda División B title with UCAM Murcia and a Segunda División crown listed among his honours from a season with Real Betis round out a trophy record that sits oddly alongside the modest transfer fees, mostly free moves, that shaped the rest of his path.

He has never been capped by Spain's senior side, but at Korona Kielce, wearing the number 10 and the captain's armband.
