Flatirons Rush

Lindsey Heaps, then still Lindsey Horan, was playing for this club when she signed a professional contract with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). She went on to captain the United States women's national team. Jordan Angeli, now in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) and in broadcasting, and Trina Davis, who plays for Fiji, also came through.

The origins are in youth football. In 1997 the parent organisation, Rush Soccer, merged two local clubs, Club Columbine and Lakewood United Soccer Club, and the pathway that produced Heaps grew from that. The men's senior side arrived much later, competing as Colorado Rush SC from 2017/18.

The name then changed twice in three years. In 2022 it became Flatirons Rush SC, a reference to the Flatirons area that the club wanted to be tied to, and in 2024 it dropped "Rush" from the title to become Flatirons FC. The black and grey colours remained.

Daisuke Takanaka was named Player of the Year in the division.

Albion Colorado is the rival, and the fixture is billed as the "Colorado Soccer Showdown". Home games are played at Stermole Stadium, on the Colorado School of Mines campus in Golden.
