Unión Villa Krause

In 1986 a club from Villa Krause, on the edge of Rawson in San Juan Province, won the Torneo del Interior. The title took Unión into the Primera B Nacional, Argentina's second tier, for the 1986/87 season. When they won the Torneo del Interior again in 2009, it carried them up to Torneo Argentino B.

Closer to home, El Azul ran the Liga Sanjuanina de Fútbol for most of a decade. They took six provincial titles between 1996 and 2004. The Copa Ciudad de Rawson followed in 2014 and 2015. In 2015 Gabriel "Bibi" González finished as top scorer in the Torneo Federal A with 12 goals.

The most recent silverware is the Copa de Campeones of 2022. The next season, in the Torneo Regional Federal Amateur, they reached the final of the Cuyo region and lost it to Atlético San Martín de Mendoza.

The derby opponent is Sportivo Desamparados, and the Clásico Sanjuanino is the fixture that matters most in the calendar. Atlético Minero and Alianza are the other rivals. Supporters also call the side Los Indios del Sur, and the 5,000-capacity Estadio 12 de Octubre goes by the name El Fortín.

On 12 October 1964 two local sides, Boca Juniors de Rawson and Atlético Rawson, merged into one club.
