Pablo Ezequiel Vegetti Pfaffen

He began in the lower rungs of Argentine football, winning the Primera B Metropolitana with Villa San Carlos and scoring 24 goals in 40 appearances there, before a move to Chile with Rangers de Talca that came with loan spells back home at Ferro Carril Oeste and Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata.

Across four seasons he scored 59 goals in 106 league appearances, won the Primera Nacional title in 2022, and finished as top scorer of the Argentine Primera División in 2023.

Vegetti joined Vasco da Gama as a free agent and became the club's second-highest foreign scorer in its history, passing 44 goals. In 2025 he was the top scorer in Brazilian football altogether, with 27 goals spread across the Brasileirão, the Campeonato Carioca, the Copa Sul-Americana and the Copa do Brasil. He was also credited with the most headed goals of anyone in the world that year, and reached the Copa do Brasil final with Vasco.

He left Vasco da Gama in January 2026, moving to Cerro Porteño on a three-year deal reported as the highest-paid contract in Paraguayan football. Despite the goals, he has never been capped by the Argentina national team at any level.
