Raúl Cáceres

Raúl Cáceres came through Olimpia's youth ranks and made his professional debut in 2010. The path from there ran through Sportivo Carapeguá and Sol de América before he settled at Cerro Porteño in 2016.

The most striking episode of his career came in 2019, when Vasco da Gama wanted him on loan but Cerro Porteño would not simply let him go — so Cáceres paid the Paraguayan club around R$ 200,000 out of his own pocket. He moved from Cruzeiro to América Mineiro, then back to Paraguay for a spell with Guaraní, before another stint in Brazil with Vitória. He returned to Olimpia, the club where it all started, in December 2025.

At international level, Cáceres has not won a senior cap for Paraguay. He was named in the country's provisional squad for the 2016 Copa América Centenario but was cut before the tournament, and his only representative football came with the Paraguay under-20 side.
