Lida

The club began in 1962 as Krasnoye Znamya, a name it carried until 1997, when it became FC Lida. Lida reached the Belarusian top division several times through the 1990s but never settled there, going down after the 1992/93 and 1996 seasons and again in 2000. A First League title in 1998 and two Second League championships, in 1993/94 (then still playing as Obuvshchik) and again in 2011, mark the club's ceiling since.

Zviad Burdzenidze remains the name attached to the post-independence years, 68 league goals in a Lida shirt, 23 of them in the 1998 campaign alone. The cup run of most note came in 2011/12, when the team reached the quarter-final before Naftan ended it 2-1 — as far as Lida have gone in that competition alongside an identical last-eight finish back in 1999/2000.
