Dila claimed a narrow 1-0 victory over Gagra in the Erovnuli Liga's regular season round 24 on Saturday. Blankson Anoff provided the decisive moment in the second half, and the result leaves Dila fifth in the table while Gagra remain eighth.
The match was settled in the 71st minute when Anoff found the net. Dila had dominated possession at 51 per cent and generated more attacks — 193 to 140 — but only managed one shot on target. Gagra failed to test the goalkeeper at all, registering zero shots on target despite having five corners.
Coaches made several changes in the second half. Georgiy Kobakhidze and Otar Parulava came on together at the 59th minute, followed by a trio at 64 including Guram Goshteliani and Luka Gurchiani. Mohamed Kanté and Claudinei Davi Cortes Leme were among the later substitutions.
Discipline was relatively clean, with four yellow cards distributed. Luka Gurchiani was booked at 52 minutes, maik poeketie at 82, Richmond Adeyeye at 90+1, and Anoff himself at 90+3. No red cards were shown, and Dila kept a clean sheet for the first time in their recent run.
The win does little to shift the table dramatically. Dila sit on 33 points from 23 games, three behind the teams above them. Gagra, with 27 points from 24 matches, are closing in on a deal for safety but still have work to do.
