Isloch Minsk took all three points against Dynamo Minsk in the Premier League, winning 1:0 in Regular Season round 19 on 24 August. The result keeps Isloch in second place with 38 points after 18 games, while Dynamo remain third on 36 points following 17 matches.
Aleksandr Butko ended Isloch's barren spell in the 79th minute, finding the net to settle what had been a cagey affair. By then, Dynamo had dominated possession and created more chances, but Isloch held firm when it mattered.
Both sides made changes at the interval, with Siarhei Volkau and Vladimir Khvashchinskiy coming on at 46 minutes. Andrei Makaranka picked up a yellow card in the 61st minute, while Butko and Vladislav Kalinin were cautioned together at the hour mark. Isloch brought on Adeola Olaleye in the 86th minute and Mikita Patsko eight minutes later.
The numbers tell a story Dynamo might have expected to win. They held 64 per cent possession and registered six shots on target compared to Isloch's four. But Isloch blocked five attempts and won eight corners, showing resilience where it counted.
Isloch move closer to the top while Dynamo cannot afford another slip. The visitors had won their last league game 4:0 against Torpedo Zhodino, but this result means they now trail their rivals by two points.
