Yavor win a third straight league point with ease against Jedinstvo Ub
Yavor beat Jedinstvo Ub 3-0 in the fourth round of the Prva Liga on 19 August. We had backed a home win before kick-off, and the result confirmed that call. The visitors had lost four of their last six and came in looking for something to change their fortunes, but they never got out of second gear.
A. Radonjic opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, a clean finish that put Yavor ahead. Jedinstvo's D. Acimovic then turned the ball into his own net in the 39th minute, and by then the game was effectively over. B. Cande added a third in the 57th minute after a well-worked move, and the visitors had no answer.
Both sides made changes around the hour mark. Yavor brought on S. Fall and M. Terzic at 46 minutes, while Jedinstvo responded with M. Simic and M. Miljkovic at 66. The hosts then pulled A. Radonjic off at 67 minutes and replaced him with L. Konstantinov, and Jedinstvo made two more changes later as the game opened up.
Discipline was relatively even. S. Vilotic picked up a yellow card for Jedinstvo in the 73rd minute, and D. Acimovic followed in the 79th. A third booking came late on, but no one was sent off. The yellow cards were the only real talking point in that department.
Yavor dominated possession at 55 per cent and registered 16 shots, eight on target. Jedinstvo had 119 attacks compared to 116, but their shooting was poor — just one shot on target all game. The statistics tell you everything: the hosts created and took their chances, the visitors did not.
Yavor move up to fifth place with 11 points from six games. Jedinstvo remain 15th with four points, and the gap between them widens. The hosts had lost their last meeting 1-0 at home, so this result also settled old scores.
