Borac Cacak

The high point came in 1958, when Borac Čačak lifted the Yugoslav Cup. Everything else in the club's record reads as a series of returns rather than a steady climb: three separate Second League West group titles, in 1993/94, 1998/99 and 2002/03, each one a fresh route back to the top flight. The best the club managed once it arrived was fourth place in the Serbian SuperLiga, in 2006/07 and again the following season.

There was a cup run too, in 2011/12, when Borac reached the Serbian Cup final and lost 0:2 to Crvena Zvezda.

The club traces back to 1 May 1926, when a group of trade union workers in Čačak, led by a carpenter named Jovan Jolović, put it together. That continuity mattered enough to fight for in 2019, when unpaid tax debts of around €1.7 million and wages owed to players of €270,000 forced Borac out of the Serbian First League altogether. Rather than fold, the club reorganised under the name FK Borac 1926, keeping the founding year in the title as a marker of what it was carrying forward.

Home games are played at the Stadion kraj Morave, known locally as the Borac Stadium. The rivalry that matters most is local rather than historic — derbies against Mladost from Lučani, even without a name of its own.

Since the reorganisation, Borac has rebuilt through the lower leagues, winning the Serbian League West in 2019/20, when the title was awarded early because of the pandemic, and again in 2023/24 — the latest step back up from where the 2019 collapse left the club.
