About the player
Sibbald signed his first professional contract at Falkirk and made his senior debut in the 2011/12 season at the age of 16, going on to win the Scottish Challenge Cup with the club that same season. He went on to make over 200 appearances for Falkirk before his contract expired and he moved on a free transfer to Livingston in June 2018.
He spent four years at Livingston, making more than 100 appearances, before joining Dundee United on a free transfer in July 2022. He has made 130 appearances for the club. The 2023/24 season stands out as his best in a Dundee United shirt: he helped the club win the Scottish Championship, was named to the PFA Scotland Scottish Championship Team of the Year, and was voted Dundee United's Player of the Year.
At international youth level, Sibbald represented Scotland at both U16 and U17.
In March 2026, it was confirmed that Sibbald had agreed a pre-contract move back to Falkirk, the club where he started out, on a three-year deal due to begin in July 2026.
