Dane Murray

Dane Murray was scouted at the age of six while playing for Bridgend Boys Club in Moodiesburn and joined Celtic's academy at under-10 level, later attending St Ninian's School in Kirkintilloch as part of the club's educational partnership. He captained the under-12s and received a "gold band" for mastering his weaker foot and spatial awareness. Murray made his senior debut on 20 July 2021 in a Champions League qualifier against FC Midtjylland.

Regular football came via a loan to Queen's Park in the Scottish Championship for the 2024–25 season, where he made 20 appearances across all competitions, added an assist and was named the club's Player of the Month for October 2024. Celtic recalled him in January 2025. He was part of the squad that won the Scottish Premiership and the Scottish Cup in the 2025–26 season, and he opened his senior goalscoring account for the club in the Premier Sports Cup against Falkirk that same season.

At international level, Murray has progressed through Scotland's youth ranks from under-16 to under-21 level. He won four caps for the under-21s, scoring against Malta in a UEFA Under-21 Euro 2025 qualifier on 10 September 2024. That qualifying campaign also brought two red cards, in matches against Spain under-21s and Kazakhstan under-21s. He has not yet been capped by the senior Scotland side.
