About the player
Elias Bethke spent his entire development in the youth setup at Energie Cottbus, joining the club's U17 side in July 2018. Playing in the 3. Liga, he established himself as Cottbus's goalkeeper.
His move away from Cottbus came under unusual circumstances. In January 2026, after Dynamo Dresden's goalkeeper Lennart Grill picked up an injury, Bethke was brought in as cover for a switch to Dresden. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Born in Nauen, Bethke plays with his right foot and, at 191 cm, remains to be seen.
