About the player
Tonevitskiy's early progress came in Zenit's academy, where he won youth league titles with the club's U-17 and U-16 sides and was nominated as one of the best central defenders in the Russian U-17 championship. That contract, however, ended before it produced a first-team appearance: he and Zenit parted by mutual consent in January 2024.
His senior career began instead in Vologda, where he made his professional debut in the Second League in May 2024, before a move to Rostov saw him play for the reserve side, Rostov-2, in the same division. A step up followed in the summer of 2025, when he signed for Chernomorets Novorossiysk in the First League. He made his debut for the Novorossiysk club in August and scored his first senior goal during a season in which he made 11 league appearances.
He joined KAMAZ as a free agent in July 2026, taking the number 81 shirt, before a loan to Tyumen for the 2026/2027 season took him back down to the Second League, this time wearing number 5. Across his time in the First and Second Leagues he has scored twice in 44 matches. He has yet to add international recognition to that record.
