Idjessi Metsoko

Idjessi Metsoko was born in Stains, France, and came through the youth ranks at Saint-Ouen before joining AJ Auxerre's academy in 2017. His move away from France, on a free transfer to MFK Vyškov in the summer of 2023, marked the start of a rapid rise through Central Europe: he finished as the club's top scorer that season, with nine goals in sixteen Czech National Football League appearances. That form earned him a switch to FC Viktoria Plzeň the following February.

Rather than settling in Plzeň, Metsoko went out on loan to ŠK Slovan Bratislava in August 2024, and it was there that his career gathered pace. He made 22 league appearances and scored once as Slovan won the Slovak First Football League title, and he also featured nine times in the UEFA Champions League, scoring against VfB Stuttgart. Slovan opted not to take up the buy option attached to the loan, and he moved on again in June 2025, this time to Spartak Trnava, where he made 16 appearances and scored four goals.

Metsoko qualifies for Togo, whom he represents at international level. He made his debut for the national team in a 2–2 draw with Guinea, converting a penalty on his first appearance. He has yet to spend more than a season at any one club.
