Jorge Andrés Espejo Leppe

Jorge Espejo made his professional debut for Cobreloa on 2 June 2019, having joined the club's youth ranks at the age of ten after starting out at local side Guacolda in Pudahuel. He moved to the academy's Calama base at 16 and signed his first professional contract in July 2021.

His breakthrough season came in 2022, when he was a key figure as Cobreloa finished runners-up in the Primera B and won promotion to the Primera División. The right-back, comfortable operating as a wing-back, then went out on loan twice: to Everton de Viña del Mar for the 2023 season, returning to Cobreloa that December, and to Audax Italiano in January 2025. Both spells brought individual recognition — he was nominated for Best Right Back at the Gala Crack in 2023 with Everton and again in 2025 with Audax Italiano.

In December 2025, Cobreloa sold his registration rights to Universidad de Concepción, ending a six-year association with the Calama club. Reports at the time of the move noted that Colo Colo and Deportes Concepción had also shown interest in signing him.

Espejo has also had a look-in at international level, training with the Chile under-23 side in 2023 under coach Eduardo Berizzo as part of the squad's preparation for the Pan American Games, though he has yet to add a competitive cap at any age level.
