Keano Van Rafelghem

The number that stands out from Keano Van Rafelghem's spell at Sporting Hasselt is 19 — the goals he scored in 32 appearances there on loan from Patro Eisden during the 2023–24 season. It was the kind of return that gets noticed at a small club, and it set up the move that mattered: back at Patro Eisden the following season he added 8 goals and 6 assists in 15 Challenger Pro League matches before Mechelen paid around €1 million to take him to the Belgian top flight.

Van Rafelghem came through Club Brugge's academy and made his senior bow for the reserve side, Club NXT, in August 2020, going on to make 12 appearances there before leaving for Patro Eisden in January 2023. The switch to Mechelen in January 2025 came with a contract running to June 2029.

His first taste of senior football at Mechelen came as a substitute in a 4–1 defeat to Anderlecht on 26 January 2025. He had to wait until 29 March to get off the mark, scoring in a 2–2 draw against Standard Liège.
