Manfred Alonso Ugalde Arce

At 17 years and three months, Ugalde became the youngest goalscorer in the history of the CONCACAF League, and he left the 2019 edition with the Best Young Player award. He had turned professional at Deportivo Saprissa in January of that year and went on to win the Costa Rican Primera División in the Clausura 2020.

Belgium came next. Lommel SK signed him in June 2020, and he scored 11 goals in 22 appearances for the first team in his debut season there. A loan to FC Twente followed in June 2021, extended for a second campaign; in March 2023 he was named the Johan Cruyff Talent of the Month, and that July Twente paid Lommel roughly €4 million to make the move permanent. He finished with 22 goals in 84 appearances in the Netherlands.

Spartak Moscow brought him to Russia on 29 January 2024 for a fee reported at around €13 million. In November 2024 he scored a hat-trick against Lokomotiv — the first player from Central or North America to do so in the Russian championship — and later added a four-goal haul, only the fourth Spartak player to manage it in a league match. He was the Russian Premier League's top scorer in the 2024/25 season, which also brought him the Russian Cup.

He plays for Costa Rica, where he has won more than 30 caps and scored 11 goals.
