Mardochée Nzita Theto

Mardochée Nzita Theto made his professional debut far from home, leaving Belgium at 19 to join Perugia on a free transfer. He played his first Serie B match against Spezia in September 2019.

A loan to Pescara in October 2020 carried an obligation to buy, and the switch became permanent the following summer for a fee estimated between €750,000 and €800,000. He stayed through the club's relegation, playing in both Serie B and Serie C, and scored once in the league along the way.

Nzita returned to Belgium in 2022, joining Beerschot for a fee reported at around €100,000. 43 league appearances over two seasons in the Challenger Pro League, five goals and three assists, culminating in the division title in 2023–24 as the club pushed for promotion.

That form earned him a move to Charleroi, agreed in June 2024 and effective from the start of July on a four-year contract; FootballTransfers put the fee at around €0.6 million. He has made 24 appearances for the club since arriving.

Internationally, Nzita is eligible for both Belgium and DR Congo but has so far represented only Belgium, and only at youth level, with a single cap for the under-17s in 2017.
