Oliver Steurer

Oliver Steurer grew up in Gelsenkirchen and came through the youth ranks locally at SV Gelsenkirchen-Hessler before moves into the academies of Borussia Dortmund, FC Schalke 04 and Rot-Weiss Essen. His senior career began at Schwarz-Weiß Essen, and he spent the following years working through German football's lower and middle tiers, first at Rot-Weiß Oberhausen and then with Borussia Dortmund's second team.

A three-year spell at 1. FC Heidenheim followed, interrupted by loan spells at KFC Uerdingen 05 and SC Preußen Münster. From there he continued to move within Germany, playing for MSV Duisburg and then VfB Oldenburg, before crossing into Austrian football in August 2023, when he joined SV Ried on a free transfer.

In the 2024–25 season, Steurer won the Austrian 2. Liga championship with SV Ried, a title that secured the club's promotion to the Austrian Bundesliga.

A left-footed defender standing 191 cm tall, Steurer has built his career largely outside the top flight, moving through a string of clubs before finding stability at Ried. He has not been capped by Germany at any level, senior or youth.
