About the player
The Serie A side took him in January; by the end of June he was back at NK Varaždin , and in July he signed an extension running to May 2028.
He came through NK Međimurje , playing for their under-10s in 2015/16 and still on their books at cadet level in 2022/23 before the move to the Varaždin academy.
Across 2025/26 he made eleven appearances in the HNL, scoring once and setting up another goal, and added two matches in the Croatian Cup.
Croatia have used him through the age groups. He won at least six caps at under-18 level, among them a tournament in Poreč in March 2024 where the hosts faced Saudi Arabia, Finland and Switzerland. Two under-21 caps have followed, including the European Under-21 Championship qualifier against Hungary in September 2026.
