Taichi Hara

Taichi Hara broke into senior football at FC Tokyo, where he signed his first professional contract in 2017 and made his debut a year later, going on to win the J.League Cup with the club in 2020. A move abroad followed in February 2021, when he joined Croatian side NK Istra 1961 and finished as top scorer of that season's Croatian Cup with six goals, including a brace in the final.

That form earned him a transfer to La Liga club Deportivo Alavés that July, though his time in Spain was interrupted by two loan spells at Belgian side Sint-Truidense VV, the first covering a full season and the second the second half of the 2022–23 campaign. In July 2023 Hara returned to Japan with Kyoto Sanga FC, scoring 20 times in 84 J1 League appearances across two seasons.

On 31 January 2026, with his Kyoto Sanga contract expired, Hara signed for FC St. Pauli on a free transfer. He scored twice in his opening four appearances for the club. At international level, Hara made his senior debut for Japan in 2025 and was part of the squad that won the EAFF E-1 Football Championship that year, having earned two caps by that July.
