Aalborg Volley 2 Women, the second women's team of Aalborg Volleyball, played in 2. Division Women, West B, in 2024/25 and stood fifth after their first three matches. They work beneath a first team with a bigger job. Dame 1 was approved to enter the VolleyLigaen, the Danish top division, for 2025/26, which brings women's elite volleyball back to North Jutland.

The club, known as AAV, is young. Two established local clubs, VK74 Aalborg and Aalborg HIK (Hobrovejens Idræts Klub Aalborg), merged in the spring of 2016.

The club also holds the hosting rights for the U15 Danish Championship in 2026.

The second team moved house in the middle of this. In 2023/24 they played at Gigantium, the large arena in the city. They now play at Aalborg Stadionhal on Annebergvej 48, which seats 700 for volleyball.
