Al Tadhamon

Al-Tadamon come from Al Farwaniya carrying a name — "solidarity" — that never quite matched the record: three Emir Cup finals, in 1984, 1987, 1994 and 2000, and three defeats. No league title, no Crown Prince Cup, no Super Cup. What the club has taken home instead is the Second Division, four times over — in 1966–67, 1973–74, 1985–86 and 2020–21 — a trophy cabinet built out of promotions rather than the finals it kept reaching and losing.

The club plays in blue and white and answers to the nickname Al Aneed, "the stubborn one" — a fair description of a side that has spent decades knocking on the door of Kuwaiti football's top honours without getting through it. Home matches are played at Farwaniya Stadium, a 14,000-capacity ground in the city that gives the club its base and, largely, its identity.

Founded in 1965, Al-Tadamon has stayed a fixture of Kuwaiti football's middle ranks rather than its summit, dropping into the second tier and climbing back out of it across more than half a century. The most recent of those promotions came in 2020–21, proof the club can still do the one thing history says it does best.
