Bilje finished that season second of 13.

Valter Birsa came through it before Milan, Genoa and Torino; Tim Matavž went on to PSV and Nürnberg, and Miha Zajc to Fenerbahçe.

Stadion v Dolinci holds the Črno-beli's home games on an artificial pitch under lights, with a stand rebuilt in 2024 that now seats 500. In 1986 the organisation behind it, then ŠD Partizan Bilje, was given the Bloudkova plaketa for its competitive and administrative work.

All of it grew out of a sports society formed in the village in 1945. The football section followed in 1946 and won the Gorica district championship in its first season, then beat Tolmin 4:2 in the coastal qualifying final in 1947 to reach the Slovenian second group. That was also the year the club was folded into others, and Bilje did not field a team of its own again until 1972.
