The women's side at Brommapojkarna grew out of a club built on youth football in western Stockholm.
The climb happened late and quickly. That result put Brommapojkarna into Damallsvenskan for the 2022 season, the first time in the club's history.
Marcelo Fernández had arrived in 2017 and was still in charge when it happened.
Mathilda Johansson Prakt did much of the scoring on the way up and afterwards: 101 matches and 31 goals across three and a half years, and the Elitettan player of the month award in September 2021.
It is not the same thing as being a rival.
