Ezra

Ezra Eagles arrive at this Lao League 1 season as champions for the first time. They finished the 2024–25 campaign unbeaten in the division, 12 wins and two draws from 14 games, 56 goals scored against 13 conceded, and sealed the title away from home with a 2–1 win at Luang Prabang United on 26 February 2025. That result ended a run of dominance by Young Elephants FC.

None of this was the plan when the club was set up in 2003. Arun Kim, a South Korean coach, built Ezra as a youth academy first and a football club second, offering free training, housing and schooling to Laotian players who could not otherwise afford them, run along lines borrowed from South Korea's own youth system.

Byung Soo Na took the team through the title-winning season as head coach, with Phoutthasay Khochalern captaining the side. The Eagles now play their home games at the New Laos National Stadium in Vientiane, a 25,000-capacity ground they share the city with, and no shortage of comparison, from Lao Police Club and Lao Army FC. There is no fixed rivalry attached to either meeting.
