Add the two at the very start, in 1999 and 2000, and one more in 2003, and the count reaches 23 championships.
The name on the shirt changed along the way. From 2003 the club played as Gintra-Universitetas, after an agreement with the university in Šiauliai, and carried that title through the longest stretch of the winning run. In 2021 it was cut back to FC Gintra.
Home is the Savivaldybės stadionas. Yellow and black are the club's colours.
Behind the 1999 founding date there is an older story. In 1992 a field hockey club was set up in the city, and the footballers came out of it: a section that separated off and went its own way.
