«IBB»
Three municipal services, İETT, İSKİ and İtfaiye, folded their sports sections into one club when Istanbul's metropolitan authority brought them together in 1990. The women's team plays in the Turkish Women's Volleyball League, working out of Haldun Alagaş Spor Salonu in Ümraniye, a hall that holds 2,468.
The men's side has the silverware to point to, a league title in 2008-09 and a run to the CEV Challenge Cup Final Four in 2013-14, but the women's team has built its recent record differently, closing both the 2023/24 and 2024/25 seasons in third place. Two solid finishes running, without yet turning either into the title itself.
Navy blue and orange remain the club's colours across every section it fields, and the women's team carries no separate identity beyond the shared IBB initials.
